Purpose Driven???

So I've been doing this research on the Purpose driven Life, Purpose driven Church books. Some of the stuff I have found is really disturbing. I have found several websites that talk about the new age implications of Rick Warrens Books. There is also stuff in there that is completely just not in the Bible.
I bring this up now because I am struggling with the fact that my church, people that I truly love, is getting involved with the Purpose Driven Church. I tried speaking to some of them but it was not recieved well.
That is what is so disturbing about his (Rick Warrens) book. He really does have some good stuff to say, but mixed in with the "good stuff" is the not so good stuff. There is so much information on this that I can't begin to know where to start. What I ask of you is to have an open mind about it before you start. Then #1 above all else PRAY and seek God's wisdom. Then there are several websites that I recomend. One of them www.discernment-ministries.com has the excerpts of a book entitled Decieved on Purpose by Warren Smith. This book talkes about the new age Implications. He talkes about the Message Bible and the new age terminology that it uses. Another good website to go to is www.crossroads.to/articles2/2003/1-purpose.htm. At this website Berit Kjos goes through the Purpose driven agenda and poits out some discrepancies with God's word. If you want more information on this subject you can just type in rick warren new age, seeker friendly churches, purpose driven right into your google search and you would be amazed at what you might find.
Anyways... I have said all this to say, If any of you have any questions or insight, if you can help me or I can help you let me know.
It's really hard for me to see people that I care about being decieved. The bottom line in all this is that we need to seek God and God only. Everything we need He wrote in His word. We need to make sure that everything we do lines up with His word. I think I've rambled on enough. I really do want your imput. Can't wait to see where God takes this.

Chuck E Cheese!!!!!!!!!

Yup! Can you believe it!! I took my three oldest to Chuck e Cheese for three hours today!!!!!!! Total Chaos. Have you ever been? I haven't been to that evil place in about 4 years. I truly believe satan created that place!! I remember now why I stayed away:) 1500 kids all screaming for more tokens, more tickets, and more of Chuck E!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought I would go crazy!! My kids weren't as bad as I thought they would be:) What a blessing. I was dreading bringing the already hyper and out of control Ethan there. Overall he did very well. I did have trouble explaning the age old question of "Why can't I get whats on the top shelf?" I don't understand why they do that to kids. I mean come on who really can get 2000 tickets anyways??? It would be cheaper to go to Walmart and buy the stupid toy!! For some reason though kids don't seem to understand that. Anyways I think I got Chuck E Cheese out of my system for at least another 4 years:)
To top it all off, my day didn't end there. It was back to the very messy house that needed desprately to be cleaned and organized. It's really not my job but I thought I would help. My children's idea of cleaning just wasn't cutting it anymore. They have the classic stuff it under the bed down pat:) So today we made sure it was clean under there. You wouldn't believe the stuff we found under Hannah's bed! Four, yeah that's right I said four, hair brushes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we buy her a new one every two months!!! And hair ties, she has enough to last her throught highschool and college! Anyways... glad thats done.
Now I need to work on my Sunday School lesson for tommorrow!

About me

The one problem I have with chatting, blogging, is that I don't always know what to say. When I read other peoples entries I am amazed and intrigued by what they write as well as how they write it. Some people are just gifted with words. Me on the other hand, I'm not!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well I'll give it a try.
I guess I could start with what I do for a living. I am a Nanny. It is a fun and rewarding job. Right now is my most favorite time of the day. NAPTIME!!!!!!!!!!! I love it when the house is this quiet:) I watch four kids 8, 5, 4, 21/2. I have always liked kids. I enjoy spending time with them. I also am a Sunday school teacher for 3-5yr olds. That is enjoyable too.
I guess the most important thing to know about me is that I am a Christian, and I love Jesus with all my heart. I know that this statement might scare people away from my site but I really think it is important to be honest about who you are.
Anyways... I think I have rambled on enough for one post.
